The parador is stunning, ideally located in the heart of the city, with charming and authentic facilities. The rooms are spacious, and the staff is really friendly. The gardens are stunning and meticulously maintained. While we didn’t dine there, the menu appeared to be extensive and well-priced, offering a great alternative, especially compared to some of the nearby restaurants in the square, where the value for money is just average.

Aranzazu

Perfectly located, within 1 minute walk to the village square with its several bars and restaurants. Friendly staff, lovely grounds full of lemon and orange trees and large, clean, comfortable rooms. For breakfast there is a cooked option. For motorcycles parking is very easy and secure. The car park entrance is almost right next to the main entrance. Parking is plentiful and the doors are locked at night.

We stayed in one of the old rooms in the main building, which was lovely and full of character. Very attractive central courtyard with fountain, and spacious, pleasant lounge area for guests. The pool was quiet and good for swimming lengths. The restaurant meals were very good quality and a lovely experience sitting outside. (Although the usual problem in Spain of lack of choice for vegetarians).

Mats

Property was very historic and beautiful. The location could not be any better. The restaurant was also excellent. Be sure to get the room you paid for as our first room was not as expected. They graciously moved us to a superior room with balcony and a view. We visited in January which is low season and there were no crowds.

Another Parador restored sympathetically, and close to the small historic centre. Our room was a junior suite with a balcony overlooking the gardens. The added bonus of a pool too if staying for a few days. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful particularly the lady on reception who helped us locate the parking!
